Laboratory work is indispensable to the understanding of the subject. Laboratory studies can create a learning environment that encourages students to question, there by fostering critical thinking. It also encourages to work in small groups, leading to social interactions and peer teaching
The Physics Lab helps students to understand the role of direct observation in physics and to distinguish between inferences based on theory and the outcomes of experiments. It also helps the students to develop collaborative learning skills that are vital to succeed in many lifelong endeavours. The lab is spacious and very well ventilated to ensure proper availability of light in it. Although the front of the room is fitted with blackboards and a large demonstration table, the students spend most of their time at their lab tables performing their own experiments. The lab is very well equipped with instruments, like- meter bridges, battery eliminators, potentiometers, Hooke’s apparatus, etc. One just cannot resist loving both the lab and the subject as the aura of Physics seems to besiege the invader.
The chemistry lab in our school serves as a hands-on learning environment where students can apply theoretical concepts to practical experiments. The lab is equipped with basic apparatus and chemicals necessary for conducting experiments that complement the curriculum.
The purpose of a chemistry lab in school is to provide students with practical experience, foster critical thinking skills, and promote scientific inquiry in a controlled and safe environment. It’s where students can observe chemical reactions firsthand, analyze results, and draw conclusions, thereby deepening their understanding of the subject.
