Assessment Pattern
From the Dept. of Examination

As per the latest CBSE exam pattern, the assessment of students will be carried out in two areas i.e.

  • Scholastic
  • Co – Scholastic

The scholastic area mostly includes test marks, notebook upkeep and subject enrichment. The students are observed on a regular basis regarding their progress in academics. It includes projects, class-work, assignments, class test, homework, quiz, oral testing, etc.

On the other hand, the co-scholastic areas include skill – based activities, art education, physical education and other co – curricular activities like art, music, etc…

Academic year is divided into two terms (Term1 and Term2)

  • Each term comprises of a Periodic test and a term end examination.
  • Marks Distribution: Internal Assessment-20 marks; Term End Exam- 80 marks
  • Pass percentage 33%

*Multiple assessment – (Quiz, oral test, concept map, visual expression, etc.)

**Portfolio – (Classwork, peer assessment, self -assessment, achievements of student in the subject, reflections, narrations, journals, etc.)

*** SEA – (Research-based activities, creative writing, exhibitions, assessment of speaking and listening, etc.)

Important Note:

  • Children are expected to be at their best performance throughout the year.
  • Participate in all activities on a regular basis.
  • Under no circumstances will students be given a retest.

School Rules:

This is expected of a STANES - CBSE Scholar / Student / Learner:

  • To carry his / her Almanac to school daily. All the student's information should be completed and duly signed by the parents.
  • To come to school on time. Late comers should report to the Teacher-on-duty on arrival. The school gate will be closed at 8.40 am.
  • To be proud of their school uniform. Students should be clean and neatly dressed. Boys should get their hair cut at regular intervals.
  • To observe polite manners wherever they go.
  • To greet their teachers / elders wherever they meet them.
  • To behave in a manner this brings a worthy name to the school community.
  • To not indulge in any anti-social activity in or outside the school.
  • The school is an extension of their home and students should respect school property. Any damage to the school property is forbidden. A fine will be imposed.
  • House spirit should be respected by students.
  • Students should not miss any period in the school.

Reward and Reform Policy:

  • Reward: In order to ensure value education, students are recognized and appreciated.
  • Reform: The school reserves the right to suspend or to take strict disciplinary action against a student whose conduct is harmful to other students or teachers. No student should indulge in any of the following practices, namely:
  • Spitting in or near the school buildings.
  • Disfiguring or otherwise damaging school property.
  • Any form of gambling.
  • Rude behavior
  • Use of violence in any form.
  • Casteism, communalism or practice of untouchabilty.
  • Bursting crackers or throwing colour on one another or painting faces within the school premises.
  • No student is permitted to bring a mobile phone to the school. Use of mobile phones is prohibited within the school campus.
  • No student is allowed to visit any of the kiosks situated around the school during the school hours and if caught doing so, will be invoking strong disciplinary action.
  • Students indulging in aggressive or very violent behavior in the school Bus / Van will be dropped and picked up from the school by their parents. They will not be allowed to travel by school bus.
  • Roll Nos. / Admit Cards of the students who do not follow the school rules or behave in a disciplined manner may be withheld based on the Code of Conduct issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education.
  • No student should come to school in case he / she is ill or indisposed even if there is a test / exam / competitive event on the day.
  • No students will be allowed to go back home after the test or during school hours as per the policy which should be respected and adhered to.
  • Energy Conservation – Students should never leave the classroom without switching off the lights and fans.
  • Polythene Free Zone – Students should never use polybags or polythenes; instead cloth bags or paper bags should be used.
  • Students should never pluck flowers from the school garden, uproot or cause damage to any plants.
  • It is not advisable to wear or bring expensive items of jewellery or valuable articles.
  • Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to school.
  • Attendance in the morning assembly is compulsory. Exemption from assembly will be granted only on medical grounds.
  • Absence from school before exams is not permissible.
  • The Principal reserves the right to suspend / rusticate or take strict disciplinary action against a student who violates the school rules or indulges in any form of indiscipline or whose conduct is harmful to other students
  • Business / Monetary transaction in the school is not permitted.
  • Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones to school. If they are found in possession of one, it will be confiscated for good.

Kindly Note: – It is extremely important that students adhere to the Code of Conduct laid down by the school. On failing to do so, they will be dealt with severely without exception.
