Syllabus
Tamil Nadu State Board – Samacheer Kalvi
Stanes Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School originally followed the Anglo-Indian syllabus. The school now follows the Tamil Nadu State Board syllabus, known as “Samacheer Kalvi” (சமச்சீர் கல்வி).
Samacheer Kalvi was introduced by the Government of Tamil Nadu with the objective of providing a common and uniform system of school education across the State. It brings students under a common curriculum framework, with prescribed textbooks and academic standards for the respective classes.
Our school follows the Tamil Nadu State Board curriculum while continuing to focus on academic excellence, discipline, values and the overall development of students.

Admission Process
We welcome students to join Stanes Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School at different stages of their academic journey.
Grades I - IX
Contact School → Application → Entrance Exam
→ Admission
- 1. Contact the School
Parents should contact the school office on working days and meet the Principal.
- 2. Submit Application
After the initial briefing, parents will receive an application form to complete and submit.
- 3. Entrance Examination
Students will take an entrance examination in English and Mathematics.
- 4. Admission
Students who successfully clear the examination will be admitted to the respective class.
Grade XI
Check Grade X Marks → Contact School → Submit Documents
→ Merit-Based Admission
- 1. Check Grade X Marks
Admission is based on the marks secured in the Grade X Board Examination.
- 2. Contact the School
Parents should contact the school office when the Grade X Board Examination results are announced and meet the Principal.
- 3. Submit Documents
Submit the completed application form along with a copy of the Grade 10 mark list.
- 4. Merit-Based Admission
Shortlisted candidates will be informed, and admission will be carried out based on merit.
